Non Executive Director

Kath sits as a Non Executive Director for selected businesses including Essendon Accounts and Indulgence Boutique Hospitality.

Kath brings independent and objective advice and expertise to these businesses, sitting in monthly board meetings and serving on committees, and contributing to the strategic direction and growth of the company.

The role of the Non-Executive Director has the following key elements:

  • Strategy – Kath constructively challenges and help develop proposals on strategy
  • Performance – Kath scrutinises the performance of management and their teams – and whether the right goals and objectives are in place to monitor the reporting of performance
  • Risk – Kath interrogates financial information and financial controls and systems, ensuring risk management is robust and defensible
  • People – Kath is responsible for determining appropriate levels of remuneration for executive directors, and is pivotal in recruiting and succession planning
